America has a choice. Will we look to more government and a collective society that is dependent on Washington to solve all of our problems, or will we once again embrace the principals which made us great? History has shown ideas like self reliance, personal responsibility, free markets and a society based on achievement and merit will produce prosperity and a high standard of living. The picture above illustrates this and shows just how fragile our freedom is. The only things that separates North Korea from South Korea aside from their shared border are competing ideas. At a time when the left has become more radicalized and open about pushing their socialized agenda on America, we must look to the world’s obvious examples of consolidated absolute power and the indisputable effects it has over human beings regardless of how tempting these utopian ideas may seem in academia. A picture is most assuredly worth a thousand words. Enjoy!
Paul Harvey – If I Were The Devil (How To Destroy America)
The Butch Wilkins Files
Last Thursday Feb. 2, on the Paul Harrell Program there was much discussion about a failed house bill, HB1887. This was a pro-life bill, and would have saved the lives of children after 20 weeks of fertilization. The bill failed in the House Committee on Public Health, Welfare and Labor, with 9 yes votes and 3 nays. There were at least two Representatives who did not vote, Rep. Gary Smith (D) Camden, and Rep. Butch Wilkins (D) Bono. This is significant because if the committee had carried 11 yes votes the bill would have passed.
During the broadcast Paul Harrell Program producer, Daniel Gary, attempted to contact Rep. Wilkins and received no answer but did leave a message inquiring why he decided to abstain when the time came to represent his constituents and invited him to be on the program to explain his reasons for not voting. Later that evening Rep. Wilkins called back and the conversation quickly devolved into an incoherent rant in which Rep. Wilkins accused us of trying to do an “ambush job” and being “unprofessional”.

Congressman Rick Crawford (R) called yesterday to discuss the misleading information about the National Defense Act and the claims it allows the detention of American citizens without charge or trial. In the exchange the Congressman explains the bill that passed the Senate did in fact have troubling language, but the House bill (H.R. 1540) is constitutionally sound. Listen and be informed!
Nativity Scene Forced Down in Northeast Arkansas School
Last Friday I spent the entire two hour broadcast focusing on the controversy in Northeast Arkansas concerning Kay Williams who is a counselor at the Greene County Tech Primary School. Kay was ordered by Greene County Tech Superintendent Jerry Noble to remove her bulletin board display of the Nativity Scene. This action was taken due to legal concerns raised by the school’s attorney after a resident called the school to complain about the display.
During the broadcast Jerry Halsell called in to discuss the topic. Halsell, who is in favor of keeping the nativity scene, described his correspondence with Jerry Noble and stated he attempted to provide the school district with information about laws that indeed make it legal for a school to display a nativity scene. At the time of the broadcast the school had not taken the memos into consideration. The Answer to Us network has obtained the email between Jerry Noble and Jerry Halsell.
There are many people throughout Northeast Arkansas who believe liberalism will always be a distant problem and never a local one. There are many examples of the politically correct culture that influence our local communities, however, this particular example is getting more attention because it has to do with Christmas and it is forcing many of our fellow countrymen to rethink the idleness of yesterday and begin to stand up for what is right today.
As of today sources tell the Answer to Us Network three hours after the broadcast Kay Williams was told she could put her nativity scene back up as of 9:00pm on Friday Dec. 9th.
Below I have posted audio clips of Friday’s show. It was a hot topic and even had an atheist talking. Part 3 is the interview with Kay Williams. Merry Christmas NEA!
The Real Meaning of Thanksgiving: The Triumph of Capitalism over Collectivism
This time of the year, whether in good economic times or bad, is when we gather with our family and friends and enjoy a Thanksgiving meal together. It marks a remembrance of those early Pilgrim Fathers who crossed the uncharted ocean from Europe to make a new start in Plymouth, Massachusetts. What is less appreciated is that Thanksgiving also is a celebration of the birth of free enterprise in America. Read More
