Answer To Us Network Founder Speaks

An open letter to all listeners of the Paul Harrell Program from the founder and executive producer.

I would like to take this time to first and foremost thank all of the listeners and sponsors of the Paul Harrell program. The show has been on the air for over two years now and our audience continues to grow. I want to take this opportunity to once again share with you my reasons for starting this program. America is in trouble! I believe it with all my heart. It is not a Democratic problem, nor a Republican problem; it is an American problem and an Arkansas problem.
Our U.S. government is drowning in debt and every week we add to the amount our children and grandchildren will have to repay. Almost fifty percent of the American population is now dependent upon the government for some sort of assistance. Social Security and Medicare are bankrupt and few politicians have the courage to admit it. Our national leaders routinely ignore or bypass our Constitution and other Founding Documents. Our national borders are unprotected and our children and grandchildren are left to deal with 15 million illegal aliens and a serious security threat on our southern border. We are on a course that is unsustainable.
I believe the time has come for us to elect leaders that are among our best and brightest. We must elect leaders who will lead and make the tough decisions that have to be made. We must elect leaders who will stand up to partisan politics on both sides and then have the courage to face their constituents and explain why they voted the way they did on tough issues.
But I want to make it perfectly clear; this show is not a Republican show. It is an American show. We represent values that are traditional and we believe we can win the debate with ideas that are logical, coherent and consistent. I believe that the problems we Americans face are dire. I believe that my generation and the generation that came before me are responsible for them because we didn’t elect strong leaders with traditional values and core principles. I started this show because I believe we all have to get involved and do something to get this great nation back on a course of sustainable prosperity.
Recently we have heard about a sponsor dropping an advertisement. We believe this was done because of our questioning the voting habits of some of our representatives. We do this show because we want to make a difference, a positive difference for our fellow Americans, regardless of their political affiliation. We do not do this show for financial gain. Our sponsors generously help us offset some of the cost of doing this show and words cannot express how much we appreciate it. However, we would continue on without a single sponsor because we believe we should all do something to get involved and make a difference.
If, in the course of doing our show, we offend someone, please keep in mind that we are trying to make a positive difference in all Arkansan’s lives, Republicans, Democrats and everyone in between.
